User Accounts and Activation
Question: How does user account differ from those that are used in EVTEK and in Stadia?
Answer: The user account has the same format as one of the accounts you have used earlier in Stadia or in EVTEK. Technically it is however a different one.
Question: How, where and when can I have user account for Metropolia's IT services?
Answer: If you are a student or a staff member in Metropolia you can activate it by using your EVTEK or Stadia user acoount. You can activate it at: http://activation.metropolia.fi . The staff can do the activation already in May 2008, students not earlier than in the beginning of August 2008
Question: Activation complains about too short password
Answer: Change your ex-EVTEK password in OVI-portal to 8 characters
Question: How can I get a temporary user account?
Answer: The answer will be available later.
Problem: Activation error: "Password is too short"
Answer: Password is really too short Change your password to 8-chars thru OVI-portal. This is actually ex-EVTEK problem.
Problem: Activation error: "Initializing activation failed. Didn't find any role to activate"
Answer: In time of creation of the migrationdata, the account wasn't active in Winha -> it is not in the list of transferring accounts. These accounts will dealed later after real migration has ended.
Problem: Account don't work with Tuubi. I can't log in.
Answer: During activation NOTE your account! With some of the users account HAS really been changed.
Problem: I get error: "Bad credentials"
Answer: With some of the users account id has CHANGED. In Metropolia system accounts do not contain only numbers. Start the activation processs again in http://activation.metropolia.fi with OLD account and password. In last page of process it says "You have already activated..." in same page is your new account. Write it to paper or print it.
