Device Cleaning Instructions
Smartboard
- Remove dust, dirt and grease by swiping the writing surface with a damp cloth or sponge. Use mild soap when needed.
- Do not spray a cleaning solution directly on the interactive surface. Instead, spray a small amount of the solution on a cloth with which to swipe the interactive surface.
- Do not let the excess solution run onto the reflecting surfaces of the frame.
- Do not touch the digital cameras mounted to the upper corners of the frame. Do not try to clean out the digital cameras unless specifically instructed to do so by SMART Technologies.
- If ink gets by mistake onto the surface of the interactive board, remove the ink as quickly as possible. The longer ink stays on the surface the more difficult it is to clean it off.

On MacBook bottom (13 inch, end of 2009, mid 2010) there is soft nons lipping material. Use 3M grey microfiber cloth or soft, colorfast lint-free cloth to clean out the bottom.
Laptops (cooling)
- A common cause for overheating in laptops is accumulation of dust inside the computer. Dust can block air passages resulting in the fan running on high speed all the time.
- Air passages can be cleared using a compressed air can. Compressed air must be blown in all air passages to make air flow and to keep dust settling on components.
