   2. Attach a note to the laptop with your name, the service request number, and the word "'Helpdesk"'.
   3. Take the laptop to the campus service desk. The Helpdesk will collect it for repair.

What should I do if my laptop is over four years old?

Your computer has reached the end of its useful life. Information technology services will provide a new standardized model to each full-time staff member. Alternative features will be the responsibility of the user's cost center.

Please make a service request and procurement request following the instructions below:

1. Make a service request at https://hd.metropolia.fi
2. Include your computer's information in the service request.
   
   1. Laptop name
   2. Age of the laptop
   3. Description of the issue
   4. Any other relevant details for a well-written service request
3. Indicate in the request if you need a loan laptop during the repair period.
4. Submit the service request.
   
   When you have received confirmation:
5. Deliver the broken laptop to the helpdesk.
   
   1. Make a backup of your files, for example, to a Z-drive.
   2. Attach a note to the laptop with your name, the service request number, and the word "'Helpdesk"'.
   3. Take the laptop to the campus service desk. The Helpdesk will collect it for repair.
