This guide applies to the use of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences laptops and mobile phones abroad. Such as business trips or while doing remote work from abroad.
Only Metropolia's laptop and mobile phone should be used to work abroad. Keep in mind that same information security instructions and regulations apply to the office as while working remotely. Any work-related information should not be disclosed to third parties and the employer’s computer should never be given to any third-party members. Third-party members are also family members.
Before the trip, note:
• To reserve a loan laptop for trips outside EU/ETA region.
• VPN-connection is functional.
• Ensure that Bitlocker encryption is in use.
• Check that the computer is updated.
• Mobile phone is secured with mobile lock code.
