- The employee and the supervisor sign the contract.
- The supervisor provides the Metropolia IT support with the necessary information about a new employeetransmits the personal data needed by IT Services to the contact person.
- The contact person transmits checks the needed information and submits it to the Metropolia Helpdesk.
- Metropolia IT Services informs to contact person when the account slip is ready to be printed.
- The contact person prints out the new user account, checks users identity, and gives the account slip to the user. The user activates the account.
- Helpdesk creates the user account and sends the account details to the contact person.
- The embloyee activates user account via netbank identifiers or mobile certificate.
If neither of the proposed ways are possible, Metropolia IT Services sends the account slip to the contact person who gives it to the employee.The user activates the account http://activation.metropolia.fi

. The activation password is valid for 45 days, after that you have to get a new activation password. Instructions for getting a new activation password are are the same as in the case of forgotten password.
