To protect a PDF document from printing and editing, set a password on the document.
If you use are using Adobe Acrobat, it is is advisable to first make a backup copy of the PDF documentrecommended to save the PDF with a new name before applying protection. This way, the document will be available even if you forget the protection passwordoriginal editable document remains accessible in case the password is forgotten. You will then have both an editable version and a delivery version of the documentfor distribution.
