New students receive the user names and passwords in introduction to studies -period.
First thing is to activate that new account and accept valid orders and regulations (General Policy on the Use of Information Systems).
Computers, the network and user accounts of the Metropolia is only for use of studies.
Installing softwares, changing the directory structures or change the settings of school computers is forbidden. There is places for everybody for that kind of savings in network. All files and directories in classrooms computers will deleted by maintenance.
Sharing or saving inappropriate and the infringing material of copyrights in shcool computers and using softwares which may overload networks and servers is forbidden. Using other users accounts is strictly prohibited.
The student is responsible for ensuring that own user name and password is only known to the student themself.
To get help with IT problems, student can contac to User Support (helpdesk).

- The student receives a user name and a password after having enrolled for attendance.
- The student's data is transferred automatically to Amme (use account management).
- The student activates his or her user acount.
A user account is activated at https://amme.metropolia.fi using a netbanking user ID or a mobile certificate.
Those new students who cannot activate their user account as explained above can pick up a user account slip at Helpdesk or Study Affairs Office.
Identity is checked when the account slip is picked up.
The activation password is valid for 45 days
The instructions for obtaining a new activation password are the same as in the case of forgotten password.
By activating a user account the student accepts the school's rules and regulations.
Metropolia computers, the network, and user accounts are only to be used for study purposes. Installing software, changing the directory structures or changing the settings of school computers is forbidden. Any changes that a student makes on a workstation and any files saved on the workstation will be removed withing two weeks (when the user profile is deleted aumatically). The maintenance personnel have the right to delete files that do not belong to the computers
