The biggest security threat to phone users come's is in the form of text messages and phone calls.  Therefore, calls and text messages should be treated with caution, especially if the contact is unknown or they are asking any personal information.

With few basic security measures, you can protect your phone better.

1. Use a PIN-code

The phone PIN prevents unauthorized access to the phone. It is important to use sufficiently complex code. Don't use for example consecutive numbers or your birthday as a security code. The recommended code length is 6 characters.

The phone must have PIN-code if you use work related services on the phone such as work email.

2. Use auto lock

3. Customize the visibility of notifications on your phone screen.

4. Be sure to update your phone

You should always install software security updates. In addition, applications used on the phone should be updated regularly. Therefore, the phone becomes more insecure and its use may exposes you to security threats.
