This instruction applies to the use of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences laptops and mobile phones while abroad on business trip or just remote working.
The devices used in the remote work or on a business trip are primarily laptops and mobile phones provided by Metropolia. Same information security instructions and regulations apply to the office as in remote work. Any work-related information should not be disclosed to third parties and the employer’s computer should never be given to third party members. Third-party members are also family members.
Before the trip, note:
- VPN connection functionality.
- Ensuring that Bitlocker encryption is in use.
- That the computer is updated.
- Mobile phone is secured with screen lock.
