These instructions are a general guide to Information Security basics for all Metropolia personnel and students. Its content follows the existing legislations and guidelines stated by the Ministry of Finance.

Metropolia’s security guidelines are continuously updated, including simplified instructions, diagrams and software.

These guidelines aim to ensure the functionality of Metropolia’s operation. This is achieved by identifying and eliminating the risks and threats, and by calculating and/or minimizing their impact. It contains the information security management, policies and procedures for the areas of personnel security, software security, data security, operations security, physical security and data traffic and, among others, risk mapping of existing services and how to be prepared for them.
