Metropolia has about 520 projectors installed. Projectors are ordered and installed by companies who have won our required product purchase competition. They have a 6-7 year life cycle.
Projector requirements:
Screens come in different sizes; 187cm, 213cm and 244cm. Most rooms have the 244cm screen installed to allow for maximum resolution. In a few rooms, a white wall or white board is used instead of a screen. Depending on the needs, a 300cm wide screen can be installed.
Bulevardi campus has received the Green Office certification from WWF on 13th April 2011. We are planning on expanding this to our other campuses as well. Classrooms and rooms equipped with projectors have the following settings since 2012:
Device turns off after 30-60 min of inactivity
Eco-mode is always activated in projectors. It extends the lamp's life cycle by 30% and it saves energy by as much. Lamps consist of dangerous chemicals and are in need of special disposal, thus we try to minimize the amount of dangerous waste |
