WinSCP is an open source free SFTP client, FTP client, WebDAV client and SCP client for Windows. It can be used for file transfer between Z-network drive and home computer.
Download the latest WinSCP version from winscp.net and install it into your home computer.
When the installation is complete, open WinSCP by double-clicking its icon on the desktop or by selecting it from the Start-menu.
Type the following information on the login window that will appear.
Host name: shell.metropolia.fi
User name: Own Metropolia user name
Password: Own Metropolia password
No other information is necessary. Click on Login.
During the first attempt, WinSCP will warn the user for the connection to the server. Click on Yes to proceed.
You may be asked to type your password again:
Once you are connected, you will see content of both local home computer and the Z-network drive. You can then transfer files and folders both ways by dragging them with your mouse.
