How do I create a webinar or large meeting in the Zoom application?

This answer applies to Metropolia staff, not students.
Submit a service request to the helpdesk if
- Your meeting has over 300 participants
- You need features for the meeting that are only available in large meetings or webinars.
For meetings with fewer than 300 participants, you can create a Zoom room on your own.
The differences between a large meeting and a webinar are described on the page Webinaari 1000 ja Large Meeting 500 tai pilvipalvelu -lisenssin käyttäminen (only in Finnish).
Service request information
Include the following information in your service request:
- Room name
- Purpose of the event
- Person to whom the webinar or large meeting license should be assigned
Did You Encounter a Problem?
- Restart your computer and the device where the issue is occurring. Try the function again.
- If the function you are attempting is happening in a web browser, try the function again in an incognito or private window and in a different browser.
- Try searching for a solution on the site of the IT Services by using the following search methods:
- navigation menu of the site (on the left)
- search machine of the wiki (right upper corner)
- a general search engine, for instance Google Search
- alphabetical index
- FAQ
If the problem is not resolved, please contact the helpdesk according to best practices. Always include a full screen screenshot of the issue in your service request.
